Well, the easy part is over. All electronic entries have now closed. Any script we received by Monday morning (April 16th at 8:00 AM MST) have been accepted. (We can envision a couple playwrights collectively wiping their brow in relief.) We still might receive a couple more entries that have a postmark on or before April 15, 2007, but don't expect more than a couple, if that. For those who have not submitted by snail mail yet, we advise you to save your postage because we do need to hold the line on this date. It is only fair - but hey, there is always next year, right?

Next comes the hard part. The judging. We will be using 3 judges this year and have set a date of May 1st to announce on the site who our winner is. We wish everyone good luck with their entries. We would like to supply feedback to each of the playwrights that is constructive and helpful. To facilitate in our efforts we are asking that each submitting author become a member of the stageashow website - membership is free. Once a member you will find that you will have access to private mail. It is through this private mail system that Judge1, Judge2 and Judge3 will communicate their comments on your entry. The Judges are well versed and experienced in Theatre and are looking forward to reading your entries.

We salute all who participated in this years contest and ask that all playwrights submit a bio so that we may list them in our Theatre People/author section. This will help us when it is time to name a winner in that we will have a little background info to work with. Please encourage any of your friends (actors, writers, stage craftsmen, patrons, directors, producers, etc) to join our site as members. Remember that anyone involved in Theatre can submit a bio and content to the site.
